The Solution was chosen again this year to showcase at the Midwest Entertainment Industry Conference in Lexington, KY. The band played on November 4th at Cheapside in Lexington. Also at the convention an independent film called "Shadows Light" premiered which contained a couple songs by The Solution. |

The Solution Showcases at the Midwest Entertainment Industry Conference!
The Solution was chosen to be one of the showcase bands at the Midwest Entertainment Industry Conference in Lexington, KY. The conference took place November 13-16. About 150 bands were chosen to showcase at area clubs during the evenings of the conference. The Solution performed on November 15 at the Phoenix Ballroom in Lexington. The Solution was also chosen to have a song included on the compilation CD for the MEIC conference. "Rise To You" was included on the CD which was distributed to conference registrants and participants. |

Thank you for your votes! The Solution was one of the four bands chosen by Internet voters to play at Central Missouri State University's annual Precram Jam. The Solution performed Friday, June 9th at the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life in Lebanon, MO. The band played from 10:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at Atchley Park to an enthusiastic crowd.
The Solution's new album "Defy Definition" was available for sale on cassette and CD. Half of all proceeds went to the American Cancer Society.

If you are wondering about the shirts, they depict the faces of the Pet Shop Boys, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe. Steve and Adam got the shirts at the Pet Shop Boys concert in Las Vegas on Halloween.
Stephen Embree Receives 1st Place in Songwriting Contest!!
Stephen Embree has received 1st place in the category of 'Pop' in the recent USA Songwriting Competition for the song "You're My Emotion."
The competition is sponsored by the American Songwriter Network (ASN), a professional organization for songwriters. There were 14 categories with winners from all over the world.

Embree Receives Recognition in Recent Songwriting Contest
Stephen Embree recently received Certificates of Achievement for "Far Side of the Pain" and "Free" from the Billboard Songwriting Contest. A limited number of such awards were presented.
